Job summary

The College of Idaho is seeking two Custodians to join our Facilities team. You will help keep classrooms, offices, residence halls, and public areas clean and welcoming for students and staff on a temporary-to-hire basis. The role requires reliability, attention to safety, and the ability to work a 6:00 a.m.

to 2:30 p.m. shift. Benefits include tuition waiver for dependents, health insurance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must pass criminal background check.
• Strong English communication skills, spoken and written.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Adhere to safety procedures and wear PPE as required.
• Possess a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, residence halls, and public spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize assigned areas to standard.
• Disinfect restrooms, replenish supplies, and empty trash/recycle.
• Perform floor care and basic maintenance as needed.
• Report safety hazards, equipment issues, and supply needs promptly.
• Support campus events with evening, weekend, or holiday coverage.
• Operate custodial equipment safely in accordance with guidelines.
