Job summary

University of California - Davis is seeking a Custodial Supervisor 1 to oversee a team, conduct monthly audits, train staff, and coordinate with the Principal Custodial Supervisor to ensure safe, clean facilities across campus.

The role requires strong supervisory, organizational, and communication skills, with a focus on safety training and performance management for day, swing, and night shifts at UC Davis locations.

Qualifications

• Valid California driver’s license and driving record as per local policy.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Supervisory experience in custodial operations including recruiting, training, assigning, and evaluating staff.
• Experience operating custodial equipment and following safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret safety materials, SDS, and technical instructions.
• Strong communication and customer service skills interacting with campus community.
• Organizational and decision-making skills to manage multiple projects.
