Job summary

CT State Community College in Danielson, CT, seeks a Lead Custodian to supervise a custodial crew on the 2nd shift. This full-time role oversees daily cleaning operations at the Quinebaug Valley Campus, Mon-Fri with specific hours.

Ideal candidate has supervisory experience in educational facilities, knowledge of cleaning equipment, and strong communication skills. Incumbents may be required to pass a physical examination.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in work that could provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed above.
• Two years' experience in an educational facility performing custodial duties.
• Experience with use and maintenance of commercial cleaning equipment.
• One year experience in a lead/supervisory role of at least 3 employees.

Responsibilities

• Plans crew workflow and determines priorities.
• Schedules, assigns, oversees and reviews work.
• Establishes and maintains crew procedures.
• Provides staff training and assistance.
• Performs full range of duties as outlined in Custodian class specification.
• May prepare reports and correspondence.
