Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Cook at Panola College to prepare and present hot and cold foods across meal periods and events. You’ll work in a fast-paced kitchen, upholding Sodexo’s culinary standards for quality, presentation, and safety while maintaining an organized workstation.

The role requires 0–2 years’ related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and ability to read and follow recipes unsupervised. Benefits and a supportive environment are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food following current standards and guidelines for quality and safety.
• Follow recipes and product directions for various dishes.
• Estimate food requirements and plan production to ensure timely service.
• Significant walking or other mobility required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds.
