Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Cook for Columbia College location to prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold items across meal periods and events. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, ensuring safety, accuracy, and cleanliness, while upholding Sodexo's culinary standards and teamwork.

The role requires flexible shifts, high standards for food safety, and the ability to follow recipes and instructions with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years of related work experience.
• Ability to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with current standards and regulations to ensure high-quality service.
• Follow recipes and directions for cooking and serving items.
• Estimate production needs and manage supplies and equipment.
• Significant walking or mobility required.
• Stand for extended periods of time during shifts.
• Lift up to 35 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
