Job summary

Western Oregon University is seeking a Construction Project Manager in Monmouth, Oregon, reporting to the AVP of Safety and Operations and working with the Facilities Services team to oversee project design, coordination, and execution. You will coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies, manage budgets, and ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years in Construction Engineering or related fields, plus 1–2 years in

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 1–2 years of experience in Construction Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of Project Management experience.
  • 1–2 years of experience using AutoCAD 2025 or similar CAD software.
  • 1–2 years of experience using Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent public relations and customer service skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and coordinates contractors throughout project phases.
  • Prepares plans and specifications in collaboration with design teams.
  • Coordinates with local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Maintains records of completed jobs and monitors budgets.
  • Performs final inspections and approves payments.
  • Ensures timely invoice submission and purchasing/bidding compliance.
  • Communicates daily with the AVP and attends assigned meetings.
