Job summary

University of Utah is seeking a Special Initiatives Coordinator within Student Leadership & Involvement to develop, manage, and maintain Campus Connect for 700+ Recognized Student Organizations and campus events. This role leads logistics, training, and collaboration with campus partners to enable real-time engagement data and transformative student opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for one year of related work experience).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze and make decisions related to program content.
• Strong coordination and organizational skills required to prioritize conflicting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation, management, and oversight of the University of Utah’s Campus Connect Platform and Campus Connect app.
• Work closely with a team of Student Affairs divisional representatives and University Analytics & Institutional Reporting (UAIR) to facilitate and maintain student engagement data collection efforts and any other divisional/institutional efforts related to Campus Connect.
• Support the promotion and adoption of Campus Connect across the university community, including but not limited to; conducting outreach meetings participating in university committees, building departmental pages, and running feasibility studies to assess a variety of use case scenarios.
• Develop and deliver in person, virtual, and pre-recorded trainings across campus to aid in user adoption.
• Communicate and collaborate with our third party vendor (Ready Education) to resolve issues and explore expansion of Campus Connect's features and utilization options.
• Prepare reports on Campus Connect utilization and adoption across campus.
• Supervises student staff who also work to support Student Affairs and University wide integration and utilization of Campus Connect.
• Monitor, evaluate, and approve all Campus Connect workflows including but not limited to event approvals, New RSO applications, survey and form approvals, RSO Equipment Reservations, RSO Storage space requests, etc.
• Manage equipment inventory and associated processes to aid in attendance tracking efforts (Wifi hotspots, card tap machines, iPads, etc.).
• Aids in the development and maintenance of tracks and checklists and badges for various programs in Campus Connect.
• Other duties as assigned.
