Job summary

Aztec Shops on the SDSU campus is seeking an Assistant General Manager for concessions operations. The role focuses on directing staff, managing events and locations, and maintaining financial and service standards across campus venues.

The position requires night, weekend, and holiday work with strong leadership, communication, and food service knowledge. CET/CalPERS benefits and tuition options are included in the compensation package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; plus an Associate's degree in related field.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience in high-volume foodservice.
• Serve Safe and Managerial Food Handler certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record; ability to operate university vehicles or carts if needed.

Responsibilities

• Direct concession operations, events, shifts, and locations under the General Manager of Concessions.
• Schedule staff for events and manage labor costs.
• Oversee inventory, product quality, pricing, and promotions.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and compliance with health standards.
