Job summary

SST Schools in Houston, TX seeks a Campus Character & Community Engagement Coordinator to advance the Character Education Initiative and strengthen school culture through family and community partnerships.

The role reports to the Campus Dean of Students and oversees FACE and Character Education responsibilities (0.5 FTE each), leading engagement activities, club development, mentoring programs, and collaboration with district educators to align with Character.org principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Successful teaching and/or school leadership experience preferred.
• Prior experience in character education, student leadership, school culture, or related initiatives preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support campus-level implementation of SST's Character Education Initiative.
• Lead development and annual review of the Campus Character Action Plan.
• Coordinate district-wide character education initiatives and activities.
• Support teachers in integrating character education strategies into instruction.
• Collect and submit implementation evidence and required reports.
• Partner with stakeholders to promote student engagement and programs.
• Collaborate with feeder campuses to ensure alignment with 11 Principles and frameworks.
