Job summary

Odessa College is seeking a student to join Wrangler Kitchen as a Catering Associate. This part-time role supports catering and special events across campus, offering hands-on experience in event preparation, food service, hospitality, and operations.

The successful candidate will be professional, flexible, and attentive to detail to ensure a positive guest experience for campus and community events. Prior catering or restaurant experience is not required but helpful.

Qualifications

• Part-time hours (up to 19 hours per week).
• Flexible availability is important for this position.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and execution of campus catering orders and special events.
• Gather, organize, and transport food, beverages, serving equipment, and supplies.
• Set up buffet lines, beverage stations, tables, linens, and service areas.
• Assist with serving guests during meetings, receptions, dinners, and special events.
• Maintain professional presentation of catering and food service areas.
• Monitor food, beverages, utensils, and supplies during events and replenish as needed.
• Assist with breakdown and cleanup following catered events.
• Return equipment and supplies to designated storage areas.
• Help maintain catering inventory and organization.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service to campus and community guests.
• Work collaboratively with Wrangler Kitchen staff and event organizers.
• Assist with other Wrangler Kitchen operations when catering needs are limited.
