The successful candidate will be professional, flexible, and attentive to detail to ensure a positive guest experience for campus and community events. Prior catering or restaurant experience is not required but helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and execution of campus catering orders and special events.
• Gather, organize, and transport food, beverages, serving equipment, and supplies.
• Set up buffet lines, beverage stations, tables, linens, and service areas.
• Assist with serving guests during meetings, receptions, dinners, and special events.
• Maintain professional presentation of catering and food service areas.
• Monitor food, beverages, utensils, and supplies during events and replenish as needed.
• Assist with breakdown and cleanup following catered events.
• Return equipment and supplies to designated storage areas.
• Help maintain catering inventory and organization.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service to campus and community guests.
• Work collaboratively with Wrangler Kitchen staff and event organizers.
• Assist with other Wrangler Kitchen operations when catering needs are limited.

Odessa College is seeking an organized, dependable, and service-oriented Wrangler Kitchen Catering Associate to assist with catering and special events across the Odessa College campus. This student position provides hands-on experience in event preparation, food service, hospitality, and catering operations.

The ideal candidate is professional, flexible, attentive to detail, and enjoys helping create an excellent experience for campus and community guests.

Specific Position Duties

Assist with preparation and execution of campus catering orders and special events

Gather, organize, and transport food, beverages, serving equipment, and supplies

Assist with serving guests during meetings, receptions, dinners, and special events

Maintain professional presentation of catering and food service areas

Minimum Qualifications

Part-time hours, up to 19 hours per week. Flexible availability is important for this position, as catering events may occur during mornings, afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends. Must be dependable, professional, able to follow directions, and comfortable working directly with guests. Previous catering, restaurant, or event experience is helpful but not required.
