Job summary

CSUMB in Monterey is seeking a Cashier and Customer Services Specialist to handle tuition transactions, payments, and front-line student interactions. You will work in a high-volume environment on campus, processing payments and supporting student account services.

The role requires strong Excel/Word skills, experience in financial record-keeping, and a customer-service mindset.on-site position with full-time hours, salary range provided by CSU salary schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial record-keeping and customer service.
• Proficiency with Excel and Word for daily tasks.
• Knowledge of tuition-related transactions and student accounts.

Responsibilities

• Handle high-volume tuition transactions and cash handling.
• Explain and enforce university policies to students and staff.
• Resolve account holds and manage student financial records.
• Produce CSUMB ID cards and assist with meal plan inquiries.
• Distribute payroll checks and reimbursements to students and staff.
