Job summary

Augusta University is seeking a skilled Carpenter 2 to maintain and repair campus facilities across Augusta's campuses. The role requires reading blueprints, performing preventative maintenance, and executing indoor and outdoor carpentry tasks with safety and efficiency. You will work under minimal supervision and may assist or train junior carpenters.

Shift: Days/Mon-Fri. Salary range aligns with hourly pay of about $21.83–$21.91 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, with four years of carpentry experience.
• Preferred Associate's degree and five+ years in maintenance or carpentry.
• Must be able to read blueprints and use hand tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform campus carpentry tasks and repairs with proper tools and supplies.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and respond to work orders promptly.
• Train or assist lower level carpenters as needed.
• Read blueprints to determine requirements and safety considerations.
