Job summary

The University of the Virgin Islands is seeking a part-time Dishwasher & Server for Campus Culinary Services on the St. Thomas campus. Temp role to support dishwashing, food service, and dining area upkeep during meal times.

Responsibilities include washing dishes, setting up serving stations, assisting with plating, and ensuring sanitation; candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be reliable, punctual and able to work in a fast-paced cafeteria environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in food service or custodial work is a plus.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashers or by hand.
• Set up and maintain serving stations and dining areas.
• Assist with plating and serving food during meal times.
• Ensure proper sanitation of kitchen and dining surfaces.
• Dispose of trash and follow recycling/waste management protocols.
