Job Description

Dishwashers and Servers are responsible for ensuring clean dishware, utensils, and dining areas, while also assisting in food service. These team members support the overall efficiency and cleanliness of the cafeteria operation.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in food service or custodial work is a plus.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team-oriented environment.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand and walk continuously for extended periods (up to 6–7 hours per shift).
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and twisting during dishwashing and food service tasks.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move dish racks, food trays, and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds.
• Exposure to hot water, cleaning chemicals, steam, and varying temperatures in kitchen and dishwashing areas.
• Manual dexterity required to operate commercial dishwashing equipment and handle dishware safely.
• Visual acuity to inspect dishes and utensils for cleanliness and assist in portioning or serving food.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-traffic cafeteria setting with noise and movement.
