Job summary

Communities In Schools of Central Texas is seeking a full-time, exempt Program Manager to lead CIS services at Elgin High School in Elgin, TX. You will interface with school administrators, integrate CIS programming with activities, and empower students to set and meet goals while engaging parents and families.

The role includes leading staff, AmeriCorps members, interns, and volunteers on campus. The position requires a bachelor’s degree (MSW preferred) and strong crisis intervention,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, human services, or related field; MSW degree preferred
• Demonstrated English/Spanish speaking skills, highly preferred
• Experience with crisis intervention, assessments, and referrals
• Group counseling and supportive guidance
• Case Management experience
• Experience working with appropriate school-age youth and vulnerable populations
• Experience working with parents/guardians and families
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on strength-based leadership
• Current CPR Certification
• Access to reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Program Administration: conduct needs assessments to inform program design and resource identification
• Campus Management: maintain relationships with campus personnel, market the program, establish referral processes
• Data Management and Program Evaluation: implement data systems to evaluate effectiveness and streamline administration on campus
• Hiring, Onboarding & Training: coordinate hiring, provide orientation and training, set goals and expectations
• Professional Development: develop a professional development plan with team members
• Team Supervision & Evaluation: provide ongoing supervision and conduct reviews and evaluations
• Leading Team Culture: communicate policies and promote CIS culture and standards
• Counseling & Facilitation: provide individual counseling, facilitate groups, crisis management as needed
• Parental Engagement: conduct outreach to parents and develop involvement
• Case Management: perform case management and participate in CIS team approach
• Represent CIS: represent at school and community meetings; make presentations
• Event Management: organize school/community events and host open houses
