Job summary

Communities In Schools of Central Texas, a nonprofit in Austin, TX, seeks a full-time Program Manager to lead CIS services at Kealing Middle School. As site-based leader, you’ll align CIS programming with school activities, support students to set goals, engage parents, and help every student reach their potential.

You will supervise staff and AmeriCorps members, manage program design, data, and community relations, and collaborate with school personnel to remove barriers to learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, human services, or related field; MSW preferred.
• Demonstrated English/Spanish speaking skills, highly preferred.
• Experience with crisis intervention, assessments, and referrals.
• Group counseling and supportive guidance.
• Case Management experience.
• Experience with school-age youth and vulnerable populations.
• Experience working with parents/guardians and families.
• Access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Program Design and Support: conduct needs assessments to inform program design and identify resources.
• Campus Management: maintain relationships with campus personnel and establish student referral processes.
• Data Management and Program Evaluation: implement data systems to evaluate program effectiveness and streamline campus administration.
• Hiring, Onboarding & Training: coordinate hiring, onboarding, training, and set goals for the team.
• Professional Development: develop and implement a professional development plan for staff.
• Team Supervision & Evaluation: provide supervision and conduct staff reviews and evaluations.
• Leading Team Culture: communicate policies and promote agency standards across the team.
• Student Services: provide counseling, parental engagement, and case management as part of CIS services.
• Campus and Community Relationships: represent CIS at meetings and organize events to build partnerships.
