Job summary

Sodexo at University of Houston Downtown is seeking a Barista to deliver exceptional customer service while crafting hand-crafted beverages on site. You will engage guests with friendly service, prepare coffee and tea to order, and maintain a welcoming coffee bar as part of daily operations.

As part of SodexoMagic, you will work with a team, handle cash, and ensure cleanliness and compliance with food safety standards. This role offers full-time hours and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Customer service experience required.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, inventory control systems.
• Starbucks Baristas may be required to be certified.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide quick, friendly service.
• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages.
• Maintain speedy delivery of beverages and food items.
• Record sales and handle cash following procedures.
• Keep coffee machines and prep areas clean.
