Job summary

Sodexo Group is seeking a Barista at UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS SOUTHWESTERN MEDICAL CENTER in Dallas. You will provide excellent customer service and craft beverages while working a full-time schedule on-site.

This role emphasizes friendly service, beverage preparation, and adhering to cash-handling procedures within a healthcare campus setting. Responsibilities include greeting guests, making various beverages, upselling, and maintaining clean work areas.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Customer Service related work experience.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, standards, and inventory control systems.
• Starbucks Baristas may be required to be certified.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with quick, friendly, and personalized service.
• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages (coffee, espresso, tea, etc.) per customer specs.
• Maintain good customer relations and speedy delivery of beverages and food items.
• Educate guests on menu offerings and initiate upsell.
• Arrange coffee bar supplies and displays for attractive presentation.
• Often clean coffee machines, restaurant areas and preparation areas.
• Record sales, handle cash, and follow cash-handling procedures.
