Job summary

Equity LifeStyle Properties (ELS) is seeking a Ranger-Front Desk Clerk in Wilmington, Ohio, to greet guests, enforce campground rules, and help keep our resort safe and welcoming.

Responsibilities include monitoring the property, controlling access at the gate, coordinating check-ins, performing patrols, and assisting with reservations and store sales. The role requires calm judgment, excellent customer service, and the ability to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills; ability to use computer applications.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to assess a situation, use quick and reasonable judgment, and resolve problems diplomatically.
• Exceptional customer service and communications skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Experience in security and/or law enforcement, and/or RV environment is a plus.
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, and current auto insurance.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays regularly.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the property with vigilance for issues or potential problems.
• Ensure that the property is properly secured.
• Enforce resort rules, respond to concerns, and contact law enforcement if necessary.
• Monitor campground gate access and validate entry.
• Conduct routine patrols, include golf cart and rental inspections.
• Take camping reservations, check guests in/out, and sell day passes/store items.
• Prioritize guest safety and happiness.
• Perform on-call emergency service as required.
• Clean restrooms and common areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
