Job summary

Equity LifeStyle Properties, Inc. in Wilmington, Ohio is seeking a Ranger-Front Desk Clerk to welcome guests, enforce campground rules and help ensure the safety of our visitors and their belongings.

Your duties include patrolling the grounds, monitoring entry at the campground gate, processing reservations, checking guests in and out, selling day passes, and keeping restrooms and common areas clean. This seasonal role emphasizes customer service, situational awareness and reliable on‑call

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic reading, writing and math; ability to use computer applications.
• Strong team collaboration skills and customer-focused mindset.
• Good judgment and problem-solving abilities; diplomacy in difficult situations.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills; friendly demeanor.
• Security or law-enforcement experience and RV environment exposure are a plus.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, current auto insurance.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays; seasonal position.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the property for issues and security.
• Ensure the property is secured and guest safety is prioritized.
• Enforce resort rules and contact law enforcement if needed.
• Control campground gate access and verify guest eligibility.
• Perform patrols, golf cart and equipment inspections.
• Handle camping reservations, check-in/out, and day-pass sales.
• Prioritize guest safety and satisfaction.
• Provide on-call emergency response as required.
• Clean restrooms and common areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

ELS is hiring for the position of Ranger-Front Desk Clerk in Wilmington, Ohio.

What You'll Do

The Campground Ranger position may include walking or patrol of the grounds of the campground answering questions, enforcing rules and ensuring the safety of our guests and their belongings. The ideal employee can handle any stressful situation in a calm manner and react accordingly with regards to local, state and federal law.

Your Job Will Include

• Monitor the property with a keen eye for any property issues or potential problems.
• Ensure that the property is properly secured.
• Ensure that guests comply with resort rules, respond to areas of concern and contact law enforcement if necessary.
• Monitor all incoming guests through the campground gate and validate if access is acceptable.
• Perform routine patrols, golf cart and rental inspections.
• Take camping reservations, check people in and out and sell day passes and items at the store.
• Prioritize guest safety and happiness.
• Performs on-call emergency service as required.
• Clean restrooms and common areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience You Need

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills and the ability to use computer applications.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to assess a situation, use quick and reasonable judgment and resolve problems diplomatically.
• Exceptional customer service and communications skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Experience working in security and/or law enforcement, and/or working in an RV environment, is a benefit.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record and current auto insurance.
• Ability to working weekends and holidays on a regular basis.
• This is a seasonal position.
