Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Development Specialist for Campaigns and Operations to support HornRaiser crowdfunding and AGP fundraising programs. This position is based on campus in Austin and requires coordinating with hundreds of groups and events to maximize impact.

You will manage content, assist with outreach, and help maintain budgets while working closely with the Associate Director and AGP teammates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of experience assisting with fundraising programs or performing complex administrative functions.
  • Highly effective written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and project-management skills.
  • Capable of working independently and under pressure while collaborating across teams.
  • Excellence in problem-analysis, problem-solving, and customer service; detail-oriented with the ability to switch projects or priorities as needed.
  • Demonstrated discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Proficiency with Office 365 applications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the year-round, campus-wide crowdfunding platform (HornRaiser) and collaborate with the Associate Director to execute peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns, including key events such as 40 Hours for the Forty Acres and Giving Tuesday.
  • Act as the main contact for roughly 200 groups that coordinate resource collection for successful group fundraising during AGP peer-to-peer campaigns.
  • Partner with the Associate Director and AGP teammates to identify opportunities to enhance peer-to-peer campaign engagement and performance.
  • Assist in the copywriting and review process for AGP peer-to-peer fundraising campaign solicitations.
  • Generate and update campaign support resources, including informational toolkits, internal messaging, and communication content.
  • Support approximately 150 groups annually by providing project intake, content review, interviews, and ongoing guidance to ensure best practices and successful execution of crowdfunding campaigns on HornRaiser.
  • Organize HornRaiser participant consultations, workshops, and information sessions as required.
  • Act as a secondary contact for participating groups and respond to crowdfunding inquiries.
  • Maintain internal records of the AGP budget and oversee office supply inventory.
  • Manage team travel bookings, reimbursements, and liaise with building managers and vendors.
  • Monitor the shared Annual Giving email inbox and respond or route questions as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
