Cengage Group is seeking a strategic Director of Campaign Operations to lead vision, strategy, and execution of marketing programs. You will mature the campaign operations ecosystem, drive growth, and enable personalized experiences at scale.

The role reports to Marketing Operations leadership and requires a player-coach who can shape a long-term capability roadmap while solving complex execution challenges with the team. Remote role with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in marketing operations, campaign operations, or related marketing technology and production functions.
• Ability to build scalable campaign production models and improve time-to-market.
• Strong understanding of personalization, segmentation, and customer journeys.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the enterprise campaign operations strategy, operating model, production processes, governance, and service model.
• Build and optimize a production model using internal teams, marketer self-service, and external resources.
• Establish planning standards, templates, workflows, and reusable components for quality and speed.
• Drive operational excellence by measuring timelines, velocity, throughput, and quality.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to accelerate time-to-market and outcomes.
• Provide leadership and governance for campaign platforms and integrated systems (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Workfront).
