Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a part-time Camp Cook at Camp Hidden Lake in Lexington, MS to plan, prepare, cook and serve nutritious meals for campers in accordance with ACA standards and schedules. Responsibilities include maintaining kitchen cleanliness, managing inventory, training a Kitchen Assistant, ensuring food is safely prepared and plated, and complying with health regulations.

Requirements: High School diploma, 1 year cooking for large groups, and ability to obtain ServSafe certification

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least 1 year of cooking for large groups.
Ability to obtain ServSafe Certification within 21 days of hire.
Other state/local certifications or licenses as required.

Responsibilities

Oversee preparation of food and oversee Kitchen Assistant staff.
Ensure enough food is prepared for the number of campers and that meals are timely.
Cook according to the menu using frying, boiling, broiling, steaming, roasting, and related methods.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen facilities, equipment and dining areas; observe hygiene standards.
Prepare foods including washing, peeling and portioning; bake breads and pastries as needed.
Follow health regulations and Accreditation Standards set by the American Camp Association.
