Job summary

The Jewish Federation of Greater Raleigh is seeking a Camp JCC Director to provide strategic leadership, oversight, and program management for Camp JCC Raleigh. You will lead Summer Day Camp, School's Out-J's In programs, and special events, ensuring safe, inclusive experiences that reflect our mission.

The role emphasizes staff mentorship, family engagement, and financial stewardship. Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor's in a related field and 4–7 years in leadership within camp or youth

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 4–7 years of leadership experience in camp, youth programming, recreation, education, or similar settings.
• Demonstrated success in supervising staff, managing programs, and overseeing budgets.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and extended summer schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership, direction, and management for Camp JCC programs and services.
• Ensure safe, engaging, high-quality experiences aligned with the Federation's mission.
• Create an inclusive, welcoming environment for campers, families, staff, and community.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate camp programming for innovation and growth.
• Establish operational goals, policies, and procedures; maintain records and documentation.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, train, supervise, coach, and evaluate seasonal staff.
• Foster staff development and a positive team culture; conduct regular meetings and evaluations.
• Build strong relationships with families, campers, and community partners.
