Job summary

The JCC of Greater Pittsburgh seeks a dynamic Day Camp Director to oversee the flagship J&R Day Camp and supervise the JCC South Hills Day Camp Director. The role ensures alignment with the JCC mission, safety standards and Jewish values across both locations.

Responsibilities include camper recruitment, family engagement, staff development, budget oversight, program development, and community partnerships, with a focus on high-quality, inclusive camp experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Recreation, Social Work or related field (advanced degree preferred).
• At least 5 years in camp, youth development or related program leadership with direct staff supervision.
• ACA Camp leadership certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of J&R Day Camp and JCC Day Camps operations.
• Recruit, train, and supervise year-round and seasonal staff.
• Design camper recruitment and family engagement strategies.
• Develop partnerships with community organizations.
• Ensure safety, ACA compliance, budgeting and reporting.
