Job summary

Sylvan Hills Christian Service Camp is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance, grounds, and equipment, ensuring safe and welcoming facilities for camp programs, rentals, and events. You will partner with the Camp Administrator and committees, manage contractor work, coordinate scheduling, and lead volunteer workdays while upholding the camp's ministry and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong servant's heart aligned with biblical principles
• Clear understanding of Scripture and Christ-centered lifestyle
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, able to manage multiple tasks
• Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in varying weather
• Willingness to operate/learn equipment: riding mower, tractor, backhoe, trailer
• Must provide PA clearances: Child Abuse History, State Police, FBI checks, and mandated reporter training

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and upkeep of camp buildings, grounds, and equipment
• Perform routine tasks: mowing, trimming, snow removal, landscaping
• Coordinate inspections, repairs and seasonal maintenance with Camp Administrator
• Schedule maintenance by contractors (pest control, HVAC, kitchen inspections)
• Serve as on-site contact during camp weeks and for rental groups
• Schedule and coordinate with reset crews for camps and rentals
• Organize camp workdays with volunteers and participate in committee meetings
• Order and coordinate supplies for operations and rope course evaluations
• Obtain ServSafe and Ropes Course certifications within one year of hire
• Submit monthly reports on maintenance, safety inspections, and facility projects
