Job summary

Summit Bechtel Reserve is seeking staff to support facilities, logistics, and residential services for programs, guests, and staff at Glen Jean, WV. Roles emphasize clean, safe, and welcoming environments with housing and uniforms provided.

Responsibilities include cleaning, stocking, and preparing guest areas; operating in a fast-paced camp setting while upholding Scout Oath and Law. Acknowledges driving permit, background screening, and teamwork as core requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 18+ (16+ if able to commute)
• Able to obtain SBR driving permit during orientation
• Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
• Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication

Responsibilities

• Physical labor operations including cleaning, stocking, and preparation for guests and customers
• Ensure work and customer areas are clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe
• Ensure facilities and equipment are left clean and in good repair by both guests and staff
• Power wash shower houses, sanitize, and stock toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc.
• Help clean and maintain all facilities and camp equipment
• Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions
• Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
• Perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership
• Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbook
