Job summary

Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia seeks energetic staff to support the Justice National Scout Camp. You will lead the guest-experience team, help set up and take down program areas, and provide friendly front-line service to campers and visitors.

You will also assist with camp-wide activities, manage payments, and model Scout Oath and Law daily while maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18+
• Previous Scouting and/or guest service experience
• Valid driver license and ability to obtain Summit Driving permit
• Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (background screening)
• Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication

Responsibilities

• Lead the commissioner team and serve as the face of the guest experience for Scout Camp
• Provide leadership to and assist with the setup, maintenance, and takedown of program/camp area
• Provide front-line customer service for guests and cheerfully address all requests
• Support basecamp operations (maintenance and material provision)
• Participate and lead camp-wide activities (campfires, evening activities, shows)
• Manage payments and buy-ups from guests in purchasing software
• Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions
• Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
• Perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership
• Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbook
