Job summary

Galileo Learning, LLC in California is seeking an experienced Camp Director to lead our K–8th grade summer camps, serving as site General Manager and the public face of the organization.

You will open and operate a Camp Galileo location, manage a seasonal team, ensure safe, joyful experiences, maintain program quality, and coordinate with families and partners from March through September. Compensation is seasonal with a mix of hourly prep wages and weekly summer pay, plus camp bonuses.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working with students in education/out-of-school settings.
• Minimum 1 year experience supervising adult staff.
• Proven ability to manage scheduling, payroll, and operations.
• Ability to obtain state background checks and First Aid/CPR certification.
• Willingness to travel for events and outreach.

Responsibilities

• Lead camp launch from preseason planning to wrap-up.
• Maintain camper safety and program fidelity.
• Develop team culture and provide coaching.
• Build partnerships with families and community partners.
