Job summary
Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Food Service Operations Director to lead all daily culinary and service operations at our rustic on-site summer camp kitchens. This hands-on leadership role combines staff management, budgeting, hygiene and allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
The contract runs May through September, with a 6-day, 70-hour week and live-in housing. We offer competitive seasonal pay plus a performance bonus, full room and board, plus travel allowances to
Qualifications
- 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
- ServSafe Manager Certification required; ServSafe Allergens required before start date.
- Strong leadership, budgeting and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
- Operations & Leadership: Lead, schedule, and train FOH and kitchen staff; foster a high-energy environment.
- Culinary & Quality Excellence: Oversee operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking and service.
- Allergen & Safety Compliance: Manage allergy protocols and health department sanitation standards.
- Administration & Budget: Manage inventory, place orders, control budgets, and daily reporting.
- Client Relations: Liaise between kitchen, campers, camp leadership and Wolfoods corporate office.
