The position ensures compliance with NFPA standards, local fire codes, and OSHA regulations while maintaining accurate documentation of inspections, testing, and repairs.
High school diploma or GED. Technical or vocational training in electronics, fire/life-safety systems, or a related field and two or more years of experience in fire alarm inspection, testing, or repair are preferred.
Positions in this class typically require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; climb ladders or use lifts; work in confined spaces and in indoor and outdoor conditions; and use manual dexterity to handle tools, meters, and testing devices.
