Job summary

Basesix seeks a Fire Alarm Technician to install, program, inspect, troubleshoot, and service fire alarm systems in commercial and residential environments. You will ensure systems operate properly, comply with NFPA and local codes, and deliver reliable life safety protection for our customers.

The role requires 7+ years of experience, NICET Level II or higher preferred, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to customers and team members. Valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience installing, programming, inspecting, and servicing commercial fire alarm systems.
  • Experience programming and commissioning fire alarm systems.
  • NICET Level II or higher preferred.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 72 and local codes.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Install, program, test, commission, and upgrade fire alarm systems.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain existing fire alarm systems.
  • Perform inspections and verify NFPA/local code compliance.
  • Conduct system start-up, acceptance testing, and customer demonstrations.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and resolve system issues.
  • Complete detailed service, inspection, and project documentation.
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and deficiencies to customers and team.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to technicians and field personnel.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
