ADVANTAGE FIRE SPRINKLER COMPANY INC is seeking a field service technician to inspect, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm and life safety systems in commercial and industrial properties.
You will program and verify control panels, complete detailed reports, and stay current with NFPA 72 and local codes. The role includes on-call rotations and emergency response to ensure reliable system operation.
Responsible for the inspection, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fire alarm and life safety systems. This role ensures systems operate properly and comply with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations. The technician works independently in the field, providing high-quality service while maintaining strong customer relationships.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications preferred; minimum of 1–3 years of experience servicing fire alarm or life safety systems preferred; NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems preferred or required based on state; strong working knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, and local fire codes.
Frequent standing, walking, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces; ability to work at heights and in occupied buildings; ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; field‑based role at commercial, industrial, and multi‑family properties; exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and electrical environments; on‑call rotation and occasional overtime may be required.
