Job summary

Televisa Univision in Miami, FL seeks an experienced Camera Operator, Jib to join our Production Operations team. The role requires expert crane movements, safe operation, and collaboration across News, Sports and Entertainment productions.

You will balance aesthetics with technical precision, handling 40-foot crane movements and up to 50-pound camera loads while maintaining smooth, cinematic framing under tight deadlines and irregular schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in television production or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in control room broadcast facility.
• Bi-lingual English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create smooth fluid movements of the camera to enhance production value.
• pan and tilt the camera as well as swing the crane through spaces.
• Set up, balance, troubleshoot and maintain crane and related equipment.
• Control zoom and focus of the lens; ensure stable framing.
• Follow rundown and work as a team to achieve director's vision.

Production Operations at Televisa Univision is looking for a Camera Operator, Jib to join our team!Responsible for the building, operations and general maintenance of the Jib Cameras. Operator must provide creative, fluid movement of the camera on multi-camera productions for News, Sports and Entertainment studio shows. The Camera Operator, Jib will report to the Production Manager.YOUR DAY-DAY: (aka Responsibilities)Create smooth fluid movements of the camera to enhance the production value of each program. Must be able to pan and tilt camera as well as swing the crane through spaces.Maintain stable framing without extraneous movement on all axis.Setup, balance, troubleshoot, and maintain crane and associated equipment.Operator controls zoom and focus of lens. Good sense of visual composition.Take direction well and work as a team player.Operate in a safe and controlled manner to minimize injury to self or others as well as any damage to equipment or property.Ability to follow a rundown.YOU HAVE: (aka Qualifications)Bachelor’s Degree in television production or equivalent work experience.Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems.3-5 years of experience in control room broadcast facility.Physical ability to swing and stop camera boom of up to 40 feet while carrying a camera load of up to 50 pounds as well as the crane itself and the associated counterweights.Perform well under pressure and breaking news situations.Agility to move at a rapid pace as production needs may require.Provide creative input, e.g., assists the Director/ Producer in creating the look of a show, including set design; suggests alternate shots; etc.Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) preferred.As this position supports 24x7 operation, candidate must, in addition to being able to work regular hours, have on-call availability, and flexibility to work days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed and without advance notice.
