Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in television production or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency with Windows operating systems and basic computer skills.
• 5–10 years in production programs in studio with automation and manual operations or equivalent experience.
• Comfort with highly technical automated systems (Cobalt, Telemetrics).
• Bilingual English/Spanish ability and strong visual sense.

Responsibilities

• Adjust iris, white balance, black balance, knee control to ensure quality pictures.
• Operate robotic cameras, pan/tilt/zoom, and oversee manual control when required.
• Color correct set monitors and manage lighting cues on the set.
• Patch cameras and maintain camera equipment and lighting boards.
• Stay on-call and flexible for 24x7 operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Production Operations at Televisa Univision is looking for a Video Control Operator to join our team!The VCO is responsible for the control and adjustment of studio cameras along with studio lighting. They are also responsible for the patching of cameras and calling up color correctors.YOUR DAY-DAY: (aka Responsibilities)· Adjust iris, white balance, black balance, knee control, etc. assuring a quality picture for each studio camera· Adjust pan, tilt, zoom, etc. of the robotic cameras if needed· Fully control the robotic cameras in manual operations· Adjust and color correct set monitors· Knowledge of lighting board and bringing up lighting cues· Clean and maintain robotic camerasYOU HAVE: (aka Qualifications)· Bachelor’s Degree in television production or equivalent work experience· Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems· 5-10 years of experience in production programs in studio with Automation and Manual operations; or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved· Comfort using highly technical and automated systems such as Cobalt, Telemetrics Remote Camera System and Jita Robotic Boom· Familiar with Ross Cambotics and Vinten Robotic Pedestals· Good sense of visual composition and attention to detail· Troubleshooting skills· Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)· Ability to multi-task and react quickly during daily broadcasts· Perform well under pressure and breaking news situations· Works effectively with others in a team environment· Excellent organizational and communication skills· As this position supports 24x7 operation, candidate must, in addition to being able to work regular hours, have on-call availability, and flexibility to work days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed and without advance notice.
