Job summary

Televisa Univision in Miami, FL is seeking a Video Control Operator to join our Production Operations team. You will fully control robotic cameras, adjust iris and color for studio shoots, and ensure high-quality broadcasts across day and night cycles.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of studio experience with automated systems, is bilingual in English and Spanish, and can multitask under pressure during live broadcasts. On-call and on-site coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in television production or equivalent work experience.
• 5–10 years of experience in production programs in studio with Automation and Manual operations; or equivalent experience.
• Comfort using highly technical and automated systems such as Cobalt, Telemetrics Remote Camera System and Jita Robotic Boom.
• Familiar with Ross Cambotics and Vinten Robotic Pedestals.
• Bi-lingual English and Spanish.
• Ability to multi-task and react quickly during daily broadcasts.
• Willing to work on-site for extended periods during special circumstances, including storms.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Fully control the robotic cameras in manual operations.
• Adjust and color correct set monitors and bring up lighting cues.
• Clean and maintain robotic cameras and related equipment.
• Work effectively with teammates in a 24x7 broadcast environment.

• Adjust pan, tilt, zoom, etc. of the robotic cameras if needed
• Fully control the robotic cameras in manual operations
• Adjust and color correct set monitors
• Knowledge of lighting board and bringing up lighting cues
• Clean and maintain robotic cameras

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in television production or equivalent work experience
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems
• 5-10 years of experience in production programs in studio with Automation and Manual operations; or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
• Comfort using highly technical and automated systems such as Cobalt, Telemetrics Remote Camera System and Jita Robotic Boom
• Familiar with Ross Cambotics and Vinten Robotic Pedestals
• Good sense of visual composition and attention to detail
• Troubleshooting skills
• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)
• Ability to multi-task and react quickly during daily broadcasts
• Perform well under pressure and breaking news situations
• Works effectively with others in a team environment
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• As this position supports 24x7 operation, candidate must, in addition to being able to work regular hours, have on-call availability, and flexibility to work days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed and without advance notice. Additionally, candidate may be required to work on site for extended periods of time to provide coverage in special circumstances, such as, during tropical storm/hurricane.
