Job summary

Televisa Univision is seeking a Camera Operator, Jib to join Production Operations. You will be responsible for building, operating and maintaining the Jib camera equipment across News, Sports and Entertainment productions, delivering smooth, fluid camera moves.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, 3-5 years in a control room, and the ability to handle a 40-foot crane with a 50-pound camera load are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in television production or equivalent work experience.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems.
• 3-5 years of experience in control room broadcast facility.

Responsibilities

• Create smooth fluid movements of the camera to enhance the production value of each program.
• Must be able to pan and tilt camera as well as swing the crane through spaces.
• Maintain stable framing without extraneous movement on all axis.
• Setup, balance, troubleshoot, and maintain crane and associated equipment.
• Operator controls zoom and focus of lens.
• Good sense of visual composition.
• Take direction well and work as a team player.
• Operate in a safe and controlled manner to minimize injury to self or others as well as any damage to equipment or property.
• Ability to follow a rundown.
