Job description

Own the first cut to the final pass Picture this: a new job hits the queue for a 2–4 axis CNC lathe. You study the print, annotate GD&T callouts, choose inserts, set up workholding, and write the program from scratch. First article runs, you validate with micrometers, gauges, and the CMM, tweak offsets, and hand the process to an operator. While the run scales, you jump to a manual lathe for a quick one‑off, then return to coach a trainee through best practices. That’s the rhythm of impact in this CAM Programmer & Hybrid CNC/Manual Machinist role.
