Job Summary

Programming, set-up, and operation of CNC lathes and mills.

Essential Functions
  • Develop CNC programs and tooling/set-up plan for Haas CNC lathes and mills, supporting routing changes, new products, new processes, and process improvement.
  • Ensure tooling capability, assist in product startups, tooling standardization, assist with planning projects from inception through production and assist with manufacturing issues.
  • Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills daily.
  • Assists Engineering to develop manufacturing processes improvements related to fixtures and tooling which will reduce cost, lead time, change over, processing time, capacity constraints, and defects. Includes implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Performs other related duties and special projects as required and assigned by the Department Manager.
Required Skills
  • Ability to program using Mastercam CAD/CAM software for lathe and mill.
  • Ability to set up lathes and mills.
  • Proficient at using Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficiency using measurement tools (Caliper, Micrometer, Drop Indicator, Optical Comparator).
  • Ability to read part drawings with understanding of GD&T.
