Job summary

Caltrans is seeking a Bridge Maintenance Supervisor in Oakland, CA, to lead and supervise a crew performing bridge maintenance, toll booth scrubbing, and emergency roadway services. You will schedule and direct work, using sound judgment within guidelines, and operate state vehicles as required.

Minimum qualifications include a valid California CDL, ability to pass a drug screen and background check, and compliance with state examination and employment processes.

Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of the Area Superintendent within the Toll Bridge Region, incumbent works with and assists in supervising the work of a crew engaged in Bridge Maintenance, Toll Booth scrubbing, Emergency Roadway Service and Construction work. Incumbent is expected to operate independently in determining and scheduling work to be done. Incumbent uses own judgement within limits of prescribed guidelines. Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a State owned or leased vehicle.
