Job summary

DEKRA North America, Inc. seeks a Process Safety Testing Engineer to support its Princeton, NJ laboratory. You will design calorimetry tests, interpret results, and work directly with clients to understand their processes and safety implications.

In this on-site role, you will execute tests, manage data, and maintain equipment while adhering to good laboratory practices and PPE requirements. A bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2+ years in a chemistry lab are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry or related field.
• 2+ years of work experience in a chemistry laboratory.
• Experience in laboratory calorimetry highly valued.
• Must understand good laboratory practices, laboratory equipment, and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute custom thermal stability experiments interfacing with customers as necessary.
• Plan, set-up, and troubleshoot lab scale equipment.
• Independently conduct standard and non-standard testing on a daily basis.
• Manage, report and analyze data in a professional and standardized manner.
• Maintain test equipment, testing logs, and other related records.
• Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by actively participating, taking responsibility, and following established procedures and policies.
