LifeWise Academy is seeking a LifeWise vehicle driver to provide safe and reliable transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The role emphasizes responsibility, punctuality and a clean driving record.

Classification: Non-Exempt (Hourly). Employment Type: Part-Time. This position supports LifeWise programs and requires active church involvement and adherence to the LifeWise Statement of Faith.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the What We Believe section of LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Regular driver's license (copy may be kept on file)
• Age 21-80; CDL with passenger endorsement for >15 seats; 15 passenger van requires no special license; annual physician statement for drivers >75
• Annual background checks, Motor Vehicle Report, and drug/alcohol testing as required

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site
• Obey traffic laws
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus
• Perform regular bus inspections
• Refuel the vehicle as needed
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children (enforce safety rules, assist students, stay calm)
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if agreed with Director
