Job summary

Wood County Hospital in Bowling Green, OH, is seeking a Call Center Representative on a per diem basis to operate the main hospital telephone console system, manage the in-house paging system, monitor alarm panels, and support 24-hour department needs such as keys.

Responsibilities include handling switchboard calls with professionalism, relaying messages, paging staff, making overhead announcements, and assisting patients with calls.

• Operate the switchboard with courtesy and professionalism; answer and direct telephone calls in a polite and informative manner.
• Take and relay messages for callers and staff.
• Page individuals to inform them of calls using paging and interoffice equipment.
• Make general overhead announcements as needed.
• Coordinate overhead/beeper paging for emergency calls (Stats and Codes).
• Assist patients with telephone calls, local and long-distance, and help callers with other questions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
