Job summary

Wood County Hospital in Ohio is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU on a per diem basis. The role focuses on evidence-based nursing care, including assessment, collaboration, patient education, and responsive care within the scope of practice.

The position is onsite, with essential duties spanning assessment to discharge, maintaining detailed records, educating patients and families, and advocating for optimal patient outcomes alongside the health care team.

Qualifications

• RN license in the State of Ohio by time of hire.
• BLS and ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• PALS within 90 days of hire.
• Two years of clinical experience.
• BSN preferred.

Registered Nurse/PACU/ Per Diem

Provides personal care and professional excellence through activities of evidenced based practice in areas such as assessment, collaboration, patient education, and responsiveness under the scope of practice as outlined by Ohio State Board of Nursing. Registered Nurse is an onsite position.

Essential Functions

1. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care provided to patients.
2. Maintain accurate, timely, detailed reports and records.
3. Individualize care based on patient values, preferences, and needs.
4. Collaborate and advocate with other health care providers to provide best outcome for patients.
5. Educate patient and family from admission to discharge considering patient and family comprehension and style of learning.

Requirements

• Education: Diploma Nurse or ADN from an accredited school of nursing
• License: Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio by time of hire
• Certification: BLS and ACLS within 90 days of hire
• PALS required within 90 days of hire
• Preferred Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing
• Experience: Two years of clinical experience
• Certification: Specialty certification
