Urban Health Plan is hiring a Call Center Associate I in the Bronx, NY. This remote-leaning, entry-level role supports care coordination from home with monthly on-site trainings in NYC.

The position requires a desk space suitable for dual monitors and aligns with our service-driven, community-based health care mission. You'll handle high-volume calls, schedule appointments, verify demographics and insurance, and escalate clinical questions as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Answer high volume telephone calls, schedules medical appointments, and relays messages according to organization standards.
• Respond to and resolves patient requests/concerns.
• Refers clinical questions to medical providers.
• Ensures confidentiality per HIPAA and PHI guidelines.
• Update existing patient demographic information.
• Confirms insurance when necessary.
• Completes rescheduling, canceling, and/or verifying patient appointments as needed.
• Exhibits WE CARE performance standards in accordance with Urban Health Plan's Operating Credo.

Call Center Associate I (Bilingual English/Spanish) Bronx,NY

Position Summary: The Call Center Associate I will join our Bronx‑Based call center team in order to support the operations of our various health centers. The incumbent must have the drive and ambition to work effectively in a fast paced and service-driven team. We are seeking customer service professionals with a passion for community based health care. A l though remote, position requires some monthly onsite needs including training and meetings that are held in the Bronx- with this in mind, applicants must reside locally to the New York City market. While company equipment will be furnished- incumbents must possess a desk space and area from home that is suitable for work without distractions and a desk that is able to securely fit dual monitor screens/computer/other hardware.

Starting Compensation: Minimum $18.00 Maximum $18.00/hour ($37,440/annum).

Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule: Remote, Bronx, NY, The schedules for this position is: Monday to Friday 10:00 am- 7:00 pm with rotating Saturday shifts 8:00 am- 5:00 pm
