Job summary

The Partnership for Public Service, based in California, seeks a Senior Manager of Development to advance its California portfolio remotely. You will cultivate California funders, including high-net-worth individuals and select foundations, while supporting corporate relationships in the region.

Role requires managing a 40+ funder portfolio, crafting grant proposals, and collaborating with the CEO and leadership to secure resources for state initiatives.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years fundraising, business development or sales experience.
• Two+ years cultivating, soliciting and stewarding individual donors of $10,000+.
• Prospect research experience; foundation fundraising preferred but not required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional/military experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to secure support from 40+ California funders.
• Solicit individuals and foundations; coordinate with CEO/senior leaders on high-level solicitations.
• Identify and cultivate new individual and foundation prospects in California.
• Steward California donors; design and run cultivation events.
• Draft grant concept papers, proposals and reports.
• Maintain Salesforce contacts and meeting notes meticulously.
