Job summary

The Partnership for Public Service is seeking a Senior Manager, Development - California. This fully remote role, based in California with a Bay Area preference, focuses on cultivating and soliciting California funders and foundations to advance the organization’s mission.

You will collaborate with the CEO, senior leadership and the board to secure major gifts and grants. The position advances California programming with an initial portfolio of 40 funders and prospects, emphasizing donor

Qualifications

• A minimum of seven years progressively responsible fundraising, business development or sales experience.
• Two years’ experience cultivating, soliciting and stewarding individual donors of $10,000 or more, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
• Prior experience with prospect research.
• Experience with successfully securing foundation grants of $50,000 or more preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent professional work or military experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to secure support from a portfolio of 40+ active funders and prospects in California, soliciting individuals and foundations with leadership support.
• Identify and cultivate new individual and foundation prospects for the Partnership’s programs in California.
• Steward California-based donors and plan cultivation events to raise the Partnership’s profile.
• Provide input into revenue targets and strategies for California initiatives.
• Draft concept papers, grant proposals and grant reports as required.
• Maintain Salesforce records and meeting notes for prospect information.
