Job summary

TevisHR is seeking an organized and detail‑oriented Payroll Professional to join our finance team. You will oversee end‑to‑end payroll, ensure compliance with CA regulations, and provide clear payroll guidance to staff.

The role requires 3+ years of payroll experience, proficiency with Excel and payroll systems, and strong confidentiality. You will act as the payroll specialist, handling inquiries and contributing to continuous improvement within our payroll processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll administration experience
• Experience with high-volume data entry in a fast-paced office
• California payroll practices knowledge and compliance

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll cycles for employees with deadlines
• Maintain payroll records including tax withholdings and deductions
• Ensure compliance with California-specific payroll laws and filings
• Assist with month-end/quarter-end payroll reporting and reconciliations
• Serve as primary contact for payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly
• Identify opportunities to streamline payroll workflows and improve efficiency
