Job summary

DrinkPAK, LLC is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage bi-weekly payroll for ~450 employees in Southern California and to review timecards for accuracy. The role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements and produces payroll reports for management.

The ideal candidate has a CA payroll background, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Workday Payroll. This on-site position offers a salary range and opportunities for growth within a growing drinks

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in California payroll processing or accounting roles.
• At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in Workday Payroll, Time Tracking & Absence is required.
• Fundamental Payroll Professional (FPP) designation is preferred but not required.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) is preferred.
• Comfortable working in an open workspace/bullpen.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 450 employees in Southern California.
• Review timecards daily for missing punches and notes to ensure timely payroll processing.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and reporting.
• Prepare and analyze payroll reports and present findings to Payroll Manager.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries.
• Maintain payroll records and generate management reports.
• Initiate off-cycle payments as needed.
• Collaborate with HR and Accounting to ensure accurate payroll processing and financial reporting.
• Monitor changes in wage & hour, garnishments, 401(k), and other regulations.
• Ensure timecard approvals by supervisors by deadlines.
